Always Press That Auto Lock
We cannot stress this one enough! Always press your auto lock button when your phone is not in use. When your screen is on you are consuming power. So make sure that your iPhone isn’t wake when it doesn’t need to be. If you aren’t good at remembering to press that auto lock then set your auto lock to one minute, your iPhone will lock after one minute of inactivity, saving you precious minutes of battery life.
Don’t Allow Your Phone To Track Your Every Move
You iPhone always knows where you are that way it can send you exact driving directions or connect you with the best restaurants, hotels etc that are nearby. But if you are in a familiar city we suggest disabling the location services on your phone.

Navigate to settings>battery to see an organized breakdown go what’s consuming your phone’s battery. Applications and features will display in a distending list and from there you can decided which applications to close and/or uninstall.
Time To Enter Power Saving Mode
On both the Galazy S5 and the HTC One M8 there are power saving modes. Turning on the powering saving mode can squeeze extra hours or possibly even a day of standby time out of just a few remaining bars of battery.
Hit That Update Button
Always remember to a update your apps. Applications often get updated to use less battery power. Even if you have your phone set to update apps automatically still check your apps in Google Play as some do require a manual update.
